FIRST SHOOT PHOTOS
These are some of the selected images that I took in my first photo shoot. Due to originally having over 100 images, I tried to reduce them to photos that I thought captured the message well that I was trying to portray, and which would also suit a music magazine front cover, contents page or double page spread. In order to make it easier when organising my images, I then put them into folders for each of the different pages, where I then proceeded to narrow them down even further. Once I have a select few left, it made it much easier to ask for advice from my collegues as well as teacher on which they thought was best, and ways that I could edit them to make them better and more suited to the tast which i needed to complete. The selected images for each section are enlarged below.
Front Page Images
These are some of the images which I liked and was considering to use on my front page. After recieveing feedback from my collegues and teacher, I was able to elimate several which either had the wrong angle, position or facial expression, leaving me with one image which would work well as my front cover image with a few adjustments in photoshop. In order to improve the image, I needed to brighten it, remove any blemishes, as well as the background and tidy up any hairs or shadows. This improved the overall look of the photo.

Contents Page Images
These are some of the images which I liked and was considering to use on my contents page. However when doing further research into other music magazines, I did not think that these images was well suited, therefore decieded not to use any for the contents page of my magazine. In order to improve the images I want to make sure the subject of my images is looking at the camera, as well as portrays more forms of musicality. I could do this in a variety of ways such as including a musical instrument or objects such as headphones.
Double Page Spread Images
Overall, there are two images which I like and want to include as part of my double page spread. However, I have come across the same issue as I had with my contents page images, as they do not look as if they would be in a music magazine. Therefore I used ideas from other magazines for ways to improve my images and some of these included laser lights in the background to make it look more like a festival atmosphere. It would also be unique and therefore a good selling feature of the magazine.
